Abubakari Yushawu is a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Sociology, University of Wroclaw, Poland. He holds a master’s degree in educational administration from Khazar University, Azerbaijan, with a focus on technology and education. This research sparked his interest in the social aspects of cybercrimes, which he is currently exploring in his Ph.D. studies.

Recently, Yushawu has developed a keen interest in criminology and criminal justice, obtaining certificates in criminal justice and policing. His research interests encompass cyber criminology, ethnography, netnography, sociology of crime and deviance, and social inequality. His research works are published in several international journal, including Deviant behaviour journal and Criminal Justice and Behavior. Throughout his Ph.D. journey, he has collaborated with various institutions to deepen his understanding of criminology, cybercrimes, and criminal justice, including Macquarie University’s Department of Security Studies and Criminology and the International Institute of Justice and Police Science.
