Patrick Mwaita is the National Coordinator for the African Centre for Cyberlaw and Cybercrime Prevention (ACCP).
Patrick Mwaita is a graduate of Makerere University, Kampala with specialisation in Social Work and Social Administration. He is Ugandan. His initial work experience was with Standard Chartered Bank for ten years before joining the United Nations African Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders (UNAFRI) in 1991. He has since worked in various capacities in a number of departments.
Currently, he is Assistant to the Director/Head of Mission, UNAFRI. In 2006, while he was the Research and Training Assistant, he was engaged in the organization, supervision and implementation of a successful UNAFRI sensitization campaign against the rampant cyber scams in Uganda. This campaign is the forerunner to the founding of the African Centre for Cyberlaw and Cybercrime Prevention (ACCP). Mr. Mwaita is involved in the formation of ACCP where he is the National Coordinator.
