Dr. Mohammad Shadi Alhakeem, possesses a distinguished career spanning nearly 25 years in academia, research, operations, and training within the fields of computer science and information technology. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2010 from the prestigious Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin) in Germany. Since 2003, he has served as a faculty member at esteemed universities across the globe, including institutions in Germany, the United States, and Saudi Arabia. His expertise in IT security, cybercrime, and digital forensics has seen him hold positions as both a core faculty member and guest lecturer. Currently, Dr. Alhakeem leverages his vast knowledge as an Assistant Professor for Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics at Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.

Dr. Alhakeem’s research expertise encompasses a comprehensive range of critical areas within cybersecurity, including cybercrime, cyberterrorism, social media and open-source intelligence, digital assets and cryptocurrencies, and the dark web. He fosters a collaborative research environment, having participated in projects with renowned international universities and prominent government institutions in Germany, the UK, Brazil, and India. Dr. Alhakeem’s impactful research has garnered support through grants from the European Union, leading to the publication of numerous scholarly works. His exceptional expertise is further recognized by his selection to esteemed UN expert committees on cybercrime.

In addition to his research endeavors, Dr. Alhakeem holds numerous specialized certificates in digital forensics, cybercrime investigation, cryptocurrency investigation, digital transformation, management, and training. He actively contributes to knowledge dissemination by delivering specialized training courses in cybersecurity, digital evidence, open-source intelligence, cryptocurrencies, and intelligence analysis.
